Meet the Owner, get to know Kate...
From as early as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to beauty, elegance, and the quiet transformation that occurs when someone feels genuinely seen. I was the little girl who adored all things feminine straight from the start — no tomboy detours, no second guessing — just a natural devotion to hair, beauty, and the art of confidence.

My work has always been about more than color, cut, or formula. It’s about the mirror moment — the fresh expression, softened posture, lifted energy — when a guest meets the most confident and cared-for version of themselves. That transformation is still what moves me.

Color is where my artistry comes to life. I love luminous, expansive blonding, but I have equal admiration for rich, dimensional brunettes and deep tones with polish and presence. Every shade carries personality, history, and identity — I simply refine the one that matches who you are in this chapter.

What I treasure most in my career are the relationships that have endured and evolved. I started as a 19-year-old assistant, and today I still care for guests who began with me two decades ago. We have grown together through seasons, milestones, reinventions, and quiet rebuilds. That continuity is the honor of my work.

My presence behind the chair is energetic, articulate, and detail-driven — with room for humor, honesty, and a touch of dramatic flair. Precision matters to me. Intention matters to me. Your experience matters to me. I am fully invested — body, mind, and soul. I will always make it right. If you are in my chair, you have my entire attention, every single time.

When people ask for a fun fact, I offer this without apology: I can’t braid — and I am entirely at peace with that.

Inspiration lives everywhere: in the subtle shifts of culture, digital storytelling, the evolution of personal style, and the rhythm of the world right outside our door. I stay attentive, responsive, and aligned with where beauty is going, not just where it has been.

Life outside the salon is shared with my husband — also a business owner — which means our downtime is precious and intentional. Summer weekends are often spent on our Searay cruiser at a marina that has truly become our second home. Winter is quieter, slower, deeply restorative. I find calm in creating at home, doing my own nails, and letting routine become ritual.

At the heart of it all is Phoebe — our beloved Cavapoo and, if we’re being honest, far more devoted to my husband than to me (he is the keeper of treats, so I don’t take it personally).

When a guest leaves my chair, my hope is clear: that they feel like the best possible version of themselves — listened to, valued, and genuinely delighted with their results. Pampered, centered, and important, because they are. It is the ethos of my work and the foundation of this salon: Every person. Every time. Every day.
